I’m afraid the same. There is no coughing or sneezing but when I was standing out there could actually hear the squirting poop (sorry, I know it sounds disgusting)!i was shocked. Can’t wait til Monday to get a fecal sample to the vet. There are places on the floor where it is just water...and messes in the nesting boxes... ugh

I think you need to collect some poop and have a fecal float test run by a vet asap.

Fecal test just got done. They have coccidia (which I have treated for before with Corid) so I will start that again (need dosage if you or anyone knows). They also say they have round worm and capillaria. My vets don't know what to treat with so if anyone knows I would appreciate some input. Sounds like the capillaria is a bad one. They need Safeguard or Valbazen for the worms and the Safegurad dose I use is 0.23 ml per pound orally for five consecutive days. This prescription from a vet says to use 0.25 ml per pound, but that's because they rounded up, lol.

The Corid dose is:

Treatment	20% Powder	9.6% Liquid
For 3-5 days	1.5 teaspoons per gallon	2 teaspoons per gallon
then for 7-14 days	1/3 teaspoon per gallon	1/2 teaspoon per gallon

Oh man! I was just reading/posting in "diseases..." So, you guys have answered a couple of questions for me. It seemed that the fenbendazole was good for the capillaria. So I might try that first. One person wrote that they worm every month - especially til we have it under control... true?? And then my next question is do I alternate wormers? It has been a year since I did Corid (liquid - I use it on my 3 dairy cows also). Could be some of the chickens are the same, but there are new ones too. So do I do the Corid at the same time as the safeguard? I am thinking that I am lucky some of these girls are still alive.... I feel terrible. And I have no way of knowing how much the birds weigh... they are all BO's but I have some smaller ones and the RJ (the roo

That will be the easiest one to get. The only one that might work better is Valbazen, but you would need to order it.

Most people don't worm every month. Just plan on getting a follow up fecal in 10-14 days.

Cross this bridge after your next fecal.

Corid is quite safe, so just use it again per my instructions. Note that the instructions on the Corid are for cattle, not poultry.

Just take a wild guess on their weight and you'll be fine.
