Chickens drinking lots more water?

    Noticed my 5 month old barred rocks have been drinking ALOT more water within the last several days...maybe this is a sign they are about to turn on the eggs?

    On the MN prairie.
    Maybe. I don't know where you are, or what your weather is like, but animals do tend to drink more when it's colder outside, too.

    EVERYBODY in Louisiana (at least the New Orleans area) drinks pretty heavily. Perhaps the chickens are just following that tradition.
