Chickens eating feathers

Our pullets are 16 weeks old. Periodically I will see one eat a feather that has been shaken loose from another bird. is this a problem? is there a diet deficiency i should be looking into?

I am interested in what others say too.

My pullets are 19 weeks old and do the same thing. TThere are always loose feathers about and I see them being eaten now and then. They've been doing it for some time now with no adverse effect. I supplement them every couple of days with black oil sunflower seeds as I've read those will help with a defficiency to lessen feather picking/pulling.
