Some of my birds did the same thing and pecked some holes in the front of their coop on both sides of their pop door. I also have foam in my coop for insulation and they got to the foam over the roosts. The roosts are just high enough and if they can stretch they can peck at it. I repaired the holes and put a barrier over the foam then went to TSC and bought some flock blocks, now they peck at the flock blocks. I also buy bales of alfalfa and they love to scratch in the alfalfa and eat the little green leaves.
