Chickens eating own eggs!!!

Okay, thankyou for all the help. We have been considering getting a roll away nesting box and I think that would be a good thing. I starting to collect the eggs right away so they don’t have the option to eat them. Yesterday and today they went out in their run all day so they weren’t in the coop. I have 13 chickens in 20 chicken coop and they have plenty of room. They also do get oyster shells often. Good news is they haven’t eaten one since they’ve been outside and I’ve been collecting them more often. Thx!

Aside from the change in diet, I would suggest putting fake eggs in the nesting boxes to help deter egg eating until roll away nesting box is done. Good luck!
