Chickens eating paint

I have a 5 month old black Australop that is OBSESSED with eating paint. I let them out to free range and she makes a B line to the paint that we recently scrapped off when we repainted our house. Is she missing something in her diet that would make her want to eat the paint? I can't keep her away from it. That is all she wants to do is go eat paint. The rest of the chickens are out in the yard eating bugs and grass like normal chickens but this one, all she wants to do if find paint to eat it.

Lead paint??? Have it tested, because it will be VERY BAD if it's old lead paint. Mary

I know it's not lead paint. Our house is only 10 years old.

Well in my limited experience it doesn't seem to hurt them. Provided it isn't lead paint. Eventually my rooster stopped obsessing over the paint and moved on to other things.
