Chickens eating their eggs!

Whats an effective way to get the chickens to stop eating their eggs?

Do you use oyster shell? My hens eat it, and it makes the shell around the egg harder, so it won't break as easily.

I can't get mine to eat it but the last I tried was about a year ago. I might try that again!

So sorry to hear that!
One of mine started yesterday, and 2 eggs were broken. And I even have curtains on my nest boxes.
I had read to put fake eggs or golf balls in the nest.
I only have decorative wooden eggs, and I put 5 of them in that particular nest box. I wasn’t sure if the hens would switch nests, but they didn’t. Today, the 2 eggs that were laid there were ok!

ive only got 3 hens now (after visit from Mr fox ) one lays under there house and the other in a runaway nest box , !!!!!!
