The other day I forgot to pickup the eggs in the evening and the next morning they were all broken and some were eaten completely. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if so how do i get them to stop.

Common problem. Without running on like a droning recording, here's a good resource:

Egg eating usually begins as a result of accidental breakage. An adequate number of darkened nests, 4" or more of deep litter in the nests and early collecting will go a long way to stopping it.
Sometimes, roll away nests are an answer if these dont work.
The final solution if nothing else works is culling the guilty hen(s) - she's the one with egg on her face.
