chickens eating there way out!

My coup is adjacent to my wood shed which has an OSB wall. The chickens are pecking there OSB to pcs. I was told by someone that they seem to be lacking something in there diet. I feed them layer feed which they have access 24-7. I think that they are just board. no pun intended. Any thoughts out there at to what I can do to get them to stop it?

I would replace the damaged pieces and paint them to seal them.

OSB is plywood that you would use to put on the side of your house before you but brick or vinal siding on,, DH is framer by trade.

Maybe you could spray it with bitter apple or another really nasty tasting liquid.
Have you tried hanging a treat in the coop? Maybe a head of cabbage, about three feet off the ground, would keep them entertained.

Cabbage... That's the answer I was hopeing for. They just need intertained. any other ideas out there?
