Chickens eating Turkey fat

We accidentally left the can of Turkey fat out to get hard before throwing away on Thanksgiving. Of course our hens got into it and ate some. Little did they know they were eating cousin Tom.
Do you think this is harmful to them?

Nope! I let mine clean the turkey carcass each year. They love it!

Mine had a ball cleaning up the turkey carcass this year! Good source of protein this time of year!

A little won't hurt them...you might see some funky poops the next day.....

.......but I wouldn't allow them to eat a lot of pure fat.
