Chicken's face bleeding, rooster.

The flesh part of his face is bleeding pretty bad but I cannot take him to a vet. Its like, if I was bleeding, my whole face would be half covered in blood. I don't know how this happened, he's panting, but alot of my chickens are panting from the heat. what do I do?
 
Take him into the house if you haven't already. The other chickens will peck him to death. Keep flies off his face so you don't get a maggot infestation.

What caused it?

Can you post a photo so we can see the wound? You can rinse his face off with water to get the blood off.
 
If it's a small wound, you can likely just clean it and put neosporin or triple antibiotic on it.

If it's larger, can you do the suturing yourself, or would you have to get someone else to do it?
