My White cochin hen's feet have basically died. She can't move her toes or roost. I originally thought she was just sick and put her with my old roo. She was doing great and today I moved the two into my extra coop, but when I was showing them the roosts I noticed her feet were... black.
I checked her legs and the black tissue stopped at her ankles.
She eats, drinks, walks around and in every respect is a healthy and happy hen.
But... will she stay that way? Is there a risk of infection? I've never had an animal's feet freeze. Ears, combs, noses, even toes sure. But an entire foot? I don't know.
What should I do?
