Great!! Thank you! I will post some pictures in the Spring when I get everything done. He sure is a beautiful boy. I love the contrast in his feathers and boy is that comb RED

Yeah it is! He is only 5 months old too. I can't wait to see him full grown.
Check out his hilarious crow!

I'm sure that's not the end of the snow. I can tell you my chickens hate it. Even if it is all flattened out on the ground. They don't like white ground

Such beautiful birds and creative comments. Will you let your chickens out when there is more snow and WINTER?

We generally close the BARN door and open the door to the outdoor tarp covred run. There isn't much they can do in the deep snow?

This is our second year with Silkie Chickens and we don't let them go in the snow. They walk from the covered outdoor run and the barn and go to the barn to sleep.

I only let them out because the snow was melting and it was warmer outside in the sun than it was in their barn.

No, I won't let them out when the snow is deep. I'd rather them not get wet and cold. If it was warm enough, I would shovel a little area for them to get some real sun, instead of the lights and the small windows in the barn.

They seem happier in the barn to tell you the truth

ETA: And thanks! I think they are beautiful too, but I'm biased

Such a funny crow! Cure pics and my cat looks just like yours! You have inspired me! I want a duck with my chickens!

All my chickens love the snow- except my EE fern. She was born this spring. I mean, when I put her in the snow, she squakes, then jumps up into the air, and flies to wherever there isn't snow. Like, on top of me.
