Just thought I'd post my flock of morning groomers. There are actually 7 here. Only the two bigguns on the right are laying, ready and waiting for the others to start. Congrats on all the new eggies this week. (so hard to get a good pic of all at the same time)

These last few pages have been wonderful!

glad to catch up on them!!

Had a lovely surprise - my daughter and her family came to see us this weekend as they had to go to S. IL so they hopped on over to SEMO to see us!

Not showing off my hatchery mutts, just a happy picture of my grandson enjoying the weather, the day, and the chickens.

I don't know about mutts..you have some nice looking birds in the group..I like the second buff and the red with the tail facing us..nice tent..the cockerels is a nice size and good color, good chest too, tail is a little squirley but not real bad.I even like the top line on the black on the right. The best in the picture is of course the grandson!!

More Chunky Monkey's WLR LF Cornish, The good thing about this pic is that when selecting breeders for the finer things like lacing and color you need good combinations. For example the lighter hen's will be used for their good lacing, while the darker hen's have good lacing it's less promanant but the red is a deeper color which is desired. So their off spring will have a good combination of both and a few with just the right amount of both. Body type is great but as Walt will agree they need work on their heads, Am I right Walt ??

I have never seen such good Cornish, even at the shows. I don't remember my base stock ever looking anything like these.

I want whatever would result out of these two....

My Big Bertha standing on the back porch this evening...sorry about pic quality, taken through the window. She's still coming out of molt so her butt fluff isn't all the way filled in yet.

And maybe even her sister, Middle Sister...

Wish you still had that roo and those lines, Al.

The results of mating those two bruisers would be nothing short of a pretty dang good master & mistress of the flock. Although I don't have him any longer I spread his genetics throughout my circle of close breeder friends, some as close as 90 miles in OKC. I still have access to them if I needed to.
