Chickens for 10-20 years or more? Pull up a rockin' chair and lay some wisdom on us!

Not mine either, and the gas that is made from corn is no good for your motor and lowers gas mileage, too. I know, I used to make the stuff. Bad for your seals, gaskets, really just light ends and a waste of money. I won't buy that stuff. I didn't vote for that "want to be king" and I won't this time either. No wonder this country is in such a mess. All he ever did was show folk how to get over!!!

I just want to take your little red hot guy and calm him down! Will he keep doing that forever?
Be sure to vote. My DH has a map of the election (probable) layout. The Southern States are gonna be serious players.
We console ourselves looking at the Reagan election State map.
I bought a little rice burner and it gets really good regular gas mileage.

Sell them to whom? Young people think eggs should be from the store and pale and tasteless. Mine are dark golden yolks and really taste like eggs. Doctors keep telling people to not eat more than 2 a Week ! They don't realize that eggs are a natural food god designed to be eaten, unlike all those preservatives in the boxed stuff. At least Hubby still likes his custard pies. But I have 10 dozen sitting on the counter right now. No more room in the frig. I have to get rid of some chickens and ducks soon. Fattening up 6 turkeys and couple dozen Extra roosters, and then I start on the ducks and rabbits. Gonna fill the freezer for the winter. Just been too hot, still almost 90 degrees this past week, but a cool front is suppose to come thou Sunday,50's at night and 70's during the days, before warming back up about mid week.

Put a sign out in your yard...if you build it, they will come.

Many people are really looking for farm fresh eggs without the farm fresh price right now. Many people prefer the duck eggs for baking, I'd advertise those as well.

I couldn't keep my eggs for long, too many people wanting them....especially this time of year when there is a slow down and they can't get them from their usual sources.

I always called my local food pantry to see if they needed eggs also...many people struggling to make ends meet right now and would love some help with groceries. If they will take them, donate some eggs and feed a hungry family.

Senior centers are a great place to give eggs to those who need and want them....a lot of older folks remember fresh eggy goodness from their childhoods.

Folks at my church were always wanting eggs, where I worked, neighbors, etc. They are out there, they just need to know you have the eggs for sale.

I live on a dead end. Last house on the street. I think I can put a sign out on the Highway, maybe? And I think I will make the rounds to the neighbors and give them some free samples.

LOL. I can just barely get a bale of alfalfa in the back hatch of mine. I always tell the guy to throw it in the back of the orange farm truck. lol. Yeah, he thinks I'm a nut case but the look on his face is just so priceless. I've made my kids sit in car seats with feed on their lap in a 50lb bag. Come to think of it I made them sit with boxes of chickens on their lap too. Wonder how thats gonna play out when they are teens.

Eggcellent idea! One free sample to the neighbors and let them know you are selling. I've found that most folks who can afford the eggs do not want them for free....for some reason, most well off people are ignorant enough to believe that you get what you pay for and actually WANT to pay for the eggs, rather than have them given to them. I did a little experiment on this where I worked and was amused to find that the same people that couldn't get enough of my eggs when I was selling them didn't seem to want the very same eggs if I didn't charge money for them.

Weird, but true.

I really enjoyed seeing the old pictures from the past, today. Some of you are a lot younger than me, for me it was the poodle skirts, bobby socks, peddle pushers and saddle oxfords. Does anyone remember before we had all those plastic containers and milk came in glass bottles? How about before polyester? How about before people paid for bottled water? And a candy bar was a nickle and a coke only came in an 6 1/2 ounce bottle and cost 6 cents? Those were a simpler time. The only electric part on a coke machine was the light bulb in those days. And we respected our elders and wanted to hear what they had to say. Knowledge comes when you're young, but wisdom lingers until later in life!
