He and I are in the category of being beyond repair. The roosters tails shorten up, can't compete with the cockerels, Hens don't really care cuz they can find a young un without any problems.

But we can dance........

The ol' buck and wing....

Never fear, Walt...old roosters are more confident and practiced in their...er...um...lovemaking skills. Old hens still appreciate that quality.

And the young stupid ones go for the slick younger ones, who didn't have an rich uncle to teach them how to court a lady.Always put my young roos in with the old girls to teach them manners!

At which time all the old hens nag the young roosters about leaving their clothes all over the floor, putting the toilet seat DOWN and about NOT leaving their dishes in the living room. After that? Any young roo is ready to do anything possible to get out of the old lady pen and back into "normal" society where a young rooster can pee off the back roost in full view of the ducks if he wants to without being nagged, nagged, nagged!

If you have never been to good show and keep decent birds going to a show and spending the day is a must. you learn about 5 yrs worth knowledge just by visiting with the exhibitors, we love talking about our birds. Not to mention getting to see the finest examples of any breed in the flesh, go..... you won't regret it.

I def plan on attending ESP since its so close to home I could walk. I only hatchery hens but I want to learn more. The poultry at our state fair wasn't very impressive & some birds were obviously sick. Our county fair was better but most of the hens were gone by the time I got to go look in the barns
