Chickens for eggs

Hello Let me first tell who I am . My name is Eva (Dutchhair) and I am looking for chickens for the eggs. I live in red bluff and I only want about 6/10 chickens. Want to buy chickens who are older then 6 months and younger then 2 years. Tell me what kind of chickens I better buy when only want the chickens for eggs??

If you want chicken for eggs, leghorns are best layer of white eggs- reason egg poultry farm choose them for mass production. Brown eggs layer are Rhode Island Reds, Australorps, and sex links that were bred for egg production such as Red Star, Red Comet, Black Star(blk sex link)Cinnamon Queen etc. if you want some colorful egg baskets add Marans, Easter Eggers (Americana) olive eggers.

I was given a leghorn after a neighbor's barn burned down. It was probably my best layer and may have been at least 5 years old when I got her. She even laid all winter. When she finally died I bought 2 more leghorns. They are great!

Thank you on the complement on my hen, she is old but still lays eggs. She has a best friend who is a lavender orpington. They grew up together, they look like sisters except she is smaller and frizzle-y-er. The sit next to each other every night.
