Chickens for life

I have had chickens for 5 years and I have learned much about the care of them. I have even hatched a couple of my own by hand and no incubator. Currently I have 11 adult hens and 4 baby chicks. I have a couple Buff mix, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Dominiques, Austrolorpes and a Sexlink. I found Backyard Chickens online years ago and it helped me tremendously in raising my hens. I am also obsessed with flowers so sometimes my free range chickens and plants don't mix... . I am retired so chickens and flowers are my joy and sometimes heartbreak.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
