Chickens going on outing, how to get them pretty in winter?

I forgot! If they have a place in the yard where they like to take a dust bath then sprinkle some diatomatious earth in it. It looks like a fine powder but each grain is extremely sharp. It won't hurt you or your chickens but when it gets worked into the birds it splits open the parasited your bird is carrying. Alternativly rub some into the birds feathers. Try not to breath it in though.
