on our hobby farm. Ducks come 1st. Behind dogs of course. Anyway. I need our chickens to be free range a bit before winter to save money. The older ones we adopted were mean to the ducks on day one so we made them a play yard that we move the fence to give them new grass. Our young chickens were born Aug 1. They live in a separate coop. I want to introduce them to ducks. Just did. They chased them. Plus they are not in with the adult chickens but share chicken wire fence so they see each other constantly. How do I get the hens out. Minus. The mean rooster Spike. And get these guys to be nice to ducks. And. Do they go back in at night like ducks
