Chickens hate new feed, what to do?

Does anyone add spices or other things to assist with gut health, immunity, and parasites?

Nope, save the spices for when you're cooking chicken.
No safe levels of added herbs or spices will do anything at all.

Don’t know who you’re replying to, but if me, I’m going with Chickhouse Reserve with shell on the side for the indefinite future, even though mine are laying now.

Mine eat it fermented, and also dry for when they need a bit more. All the fermented is eaten, and when it’s dry, I just dump the “bits” they skip over into the run litter for them to eat or not.

Curious, have you checked the date on the bag? It might be old feed and the seed oils are going rancid. I once forgot that and bought enough catfish pellets to grow out a few thousand fish thinking I was being smart to avoid any feed price increases. Nope, three months in and the fish acted like your chickens did, turning up their noses and eating a fraction of the feed given to them. Had to feed the pellets to the hogs and even they weren't happy with it.
