Chickens in a coop & eggs on a face (he he)

He uses 8 square foot boxes, the measurements were given somewhere, but around 2'x4'.

Oohhh - I just read it and assumed he meant 8' x 8' (because that makes more sense). Then I started looking at the picture and realized the coop isn't much bigger than he is.

I guess it's no wonder he doesn't want them to go in there. I have 4 & 14 sq. ft. per bird (coop & run) for my six chickens, and still feel like they should have more space (wishing I had built bigger).

Well, this was educational in an unsettling kind of way.

Saturday, July 14th? I must be in some kind of time warp, my calender says MONDAY, the 14th. Yeah, pullets will crowd into a box. We'll see how happy they all are, around mid to late Dec, packed in there, in freezing weather. I'm sure everything will be just fine.
Roger my Rooster says it's an an egg-layer that's all. He went inside and stuck his head over the top when I took off the lid. I figured out the rest.

Got my first egg in there today, but somebody ate it already. The chickens neatly hollowed out nests in each of the four corners. Wait until you see my roosts. They're crates turned on their side.
