Hi. I’m new here. We’ve raised chickens for several years, off and on. We’ve had ducks, but got out of them as we keep having severe drought. My daughter is doing an animal care course for high school, in which she has chosen to start up raising quail. We are so excited to see that the supplier we chose to order our eggs from is here On by. For chickens we raise americuna ( not having discussions on these, they are purebred) and buff Orpingtons, along with mixed chicks. For quail we’ve ordered scholfeild silver collection from myshire farms.com . They are so pretty. Fingers crossed for a great hatch. We own a brinsea mini2 advanced and have borrowed a farms innovator digital incubator to hatch them in. The brinsea mini only holds 12 quail eggs, so reinforcements were required😁. We can’t wait to get started. We are building an outdoor pen for them under an Atlantic cedar tree. Some ideas of shrubbery to plant inside to give them cover would be appreciate.we were thinking a rosemary or lavender bush. Anyway, hi.
