We are planning to move to FL earlier this spring and it will be a small farm to have some chickens and other fowl to enjoy. In the past I have had chickens, ducks, guineas. Well, the guineas ran off, surprise , surprise, BUT the foxes and coons got ALL of my chickens. I was a new chicken owner and should have taken more care. This time I have you guys to help and direct me so I can keep and enjoy my flocks of "stuff". I'm glad I'm here and will be reading everything I can to inform me. Thank you

Your coop should be lifted up on the ground, and should have raccoon wire on the coop,to allow air.
You should also have some "Hound" dog out with them, day and night.Go at several times a day with them, letting all animals know your there.Pouring urine around your yard will keep the foxes away,so will a radio.Probably should leave it on.

Good luck!
