Chickens in Slow Motion

One more today! I happened to be in the right place at the right time and got a video of one of the pullets gathering oil from her uropygial gland (AKA the 'preen gland'). I'd suggest clicking on full screen in the video box to see this one a little closer if you can. :)

X3 This one is really good!
Keep 'em coming!

Here's a couple from this evening. First, one of the pullets shaking her feathers out. I did a mean thing and messed with her until she did it.

Second one isn't very great and is kind of out of focus, but it was too adorable not to share. :love Wait for it...

Okay, I promise I didn't forget about this thread! I'm just not having much success lately in catching new and interesting things in slow motion, and with winterizing, and school, and everything else, it kind of got put on the back burner for a while there... I do have a video I forgot to upload and post, which is more amusing than anything else. Murphy, here, is always adjusting his wattles for no apparent reason. At first I thought it was because they dipped in the water while he was drinking and he didn't like them getting wet, but he does this all the time, even when he hasn't been to the water bucket, so... I don't know. :idunno So, here's some slow motion wattle waving.

Another twist on 'How's it hangin'. :D

Wattle wigglin' can often be an incitement to the girls,
wonders if maybe it's also a display of dominance to the other boys?

In this vid tho looked more like 'I got a skeeter on my..... wattles'.
