It was warmer here today and I opened up the coop for them, and some of my flock ran right out to enjoy the lowered level of snow. Well, at least the little hen on the bottom did. The rest are all hiding up on the roost!

From the left:
Sumatra/Silkie/American Onagadori mix rooster, Swagger.
One of my Orloff hens, Fern.
Swagger's father, Black Sumatra, Ozzy.
Phoenix/Sumatra mix cockerel (currently unnamed), Ozzy's son and Swagger's half brother.
On the bottom, my Silkie/American Onagadori hen, Davy, Swagger's mother.

Davy was dust bathing in the snow! It was so cute.

A little happy family.

My chickens would FAINT at all that snow. I once gave them a scoopful from a trip up north, and they just looked at me like I was crazy.

Pretty little flock! I bet they are enjoying themselves!

The first time they experienced snow way back when I first put them out there years ago was hilarious! They love to eat it and walk in it just fine now but back then they hopped around and were scared of it!

They seem to really enjoy it with the warm spell today to be able to get out and not have to worry about freezing their wattles off
