Chickens in Wellford, SC?

I've looked all over the internet and cannot find anything on whether or not I can have chickens in Wellford, population 2000+. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all the advice. Guess I'll try to call. Wish me luck. The guy right down the street just got two miniature horses this week but think he just made it outside the"city" limits.
