ehh, Corpus has some great stuff.

think small coastal, fishing town that is grown up.  lol

if you travel south a little bit, great beach with not too many folks, very large area between water and the dunes, which makes for safer family times, as kids and cars driving on the beach can be dangerous.

they also have an aquarium, and US battleship, the Lexington, and a minor league baseball team, with a outstanding stadium.

but yeah, flying into their "international" airport, and stayin in the interior of the town, I'm sure it leaves allot lacking.  lol
You're right, the fishing was fantastic. We chartered a trip our last day there, and caught redfish and trout all day. I caught a 42 pound black drum from the pier in front of the hotel one day during lunch :D
Right around the airport is pretty much what I was talking about. With all of the refineries, it looked like the entire town was on fire

that little area might seem bad, but do a google earth flyover of the Houston area.......lol
I'll fold; too many memories of San Antonio & a little slice of H--- called Lackland AFB
oh man, San Antonio in the summer is brutal.

I must admit, Breckenridge Park was nice, back in the mid-60's. On the other hand, if what's left of the Alamo is any indication it's no wonder that Santa Anna won.

it's really a shame, that most of these Texas cities have lost their historical township charm.

I'm a traditionalist, and enjoy reading some old timer's stories of these cities, before they were cities.

I guess that's why I live where I do, out in the country, in no town or city.

@WVduckchick

Mornin' to ya... 70 degrees feels great, but it's terrible to hunt deer in; poor thing would be cooked b4 it got hung up.

Mornin'! Yea, its unusually warm. Definitely not good deer hunting weather. Trapping season opens this weekend though, so we will probably just concentrate on the foxes.
(I still think that's what ran off with my Floppy chick)

I'll raise you the 90 degrees, in south Texas, and add mosquitoes and 100% humidity.
