ruffling feathers here is much more appropriate than in the predator forum, where someone asks how to discourage a fox from killing the last hen, without killing the fox. lol
Haha! That would totally be me!! Lol. But I don't take offense to what other people chose to do.
And most take it so well. Only one so far that I have deeply offended![]()

Day 19 and still nothing. I think it's going to happen tonight or tomorrow morning. I am seriously getting frustrated with keeping up the humidity. I have 2 dishes in there and it's only at 57% everything is moist but no condensation. I think the fan dries it out faster than the still air.
And you know what stinks about that? You can't open the incubator to meddle!! Go get a new hygrometer ASAP so you can start checking for internal pips!
Hey, I have a serious question (whoathunkit?)
I free range my birds several times a week, mostly unsupervised. They're all fully grown Red Sex-links, & the rooster is always with them? I've never lost one to an avian predator. Should I be concerned at all? Have I just been lucky up to now?
I do the same thing! I mean, I'm in the house and I peek outside every 30 mins but still it could happen. I just hope it takes one of my extra boys!
