I keep being really tempted to get muscovies, 'cause they're quiet. I would have to completely redo my entire setup, though. That, and my husband complains about the poo when I let the chickens out of the run--don't know how he'd react to duck poo everywhere!

Or you could get my luck and hatch all boys first try... I really didn't understand why everyone kept saying they were loud... yeah... boys are quiet... :/

So I'm ready for bed now. I woke up this morning at 7am to a pip. All day that pip did nothing! I was really starting to worry that maybe the chick quit. I can't see inside because it's only a crack. As I'm hovered over the bator, panicking, the shell starts moving up and down and the egg starts rocking. It's like he said "I'm ok"! Now I'll have to get up all night to check so I don't miss zip!! No sleep for me tonight!

Already done... she loves neeboos, lol...
