Well good luck at the sale and say Hi to Ravyn in person for me! Looking forward to the pictures of the chicks when you get a chance. I finally got a decent picture today of Jack Frost, my Russian Orloff Cockerel. He's changed a lot in the last month - September:October:
He's filling out nicely for 6 1/2 months old.

Hi!!![]()
He is looking killer!! Has his attitude changed??
![]()
Jack is still pretty mellow, thank goodness, but definitely did NOT like my 3 year old grandson so I just carried him into the coop to get eggs while he was here for the Balloon Fiesta. Jack is much more laid back than my last cockerel, for sure. But he doesn't like strangers.
We're putting up the permanent run wall starting tomorrow so we'll be able to walk into the people side of the coop and collect eggs without having to walk through part of the run. Shoes will also stay much cleaner that way.![]()

Good morning![]()
Anybody doing anything fun today? Its cold 34* here this morning. Brrrrr
This is my kind of weather
It's not quite that cold down here, but in the 40s for the first time all year. I'm in heaven.
Just got a call from someone that is driving almost 2 hours for one of the Am roos![]()
I never have much luck selling cockerels, but have gotten five replies within 24 hours of posting the Ams. The one driving 2 hours wants a Smith to mix in her flock, and the others are looking to make EEsSa-weeet
