Oh, heck no! Don't make no difference to me where info gets posted, just as long as the ones who want to see it can...

I'm just not gonna try to cover both threads with same long posts... and if you'd rather keep this as the 'playground' that's fine... don't make no difference to me...

Cabinet bators compared to all other types is like apples and oranges... seriously... and even comparing wood cabinets to the metal and plexi ones is night and day... explaining it all out would be another long post, dunno if I'm up for another of those just yet...

When you are up to it, I'd like to discuss it.

In the past year or so, I've gone from low end foam tabletop incubator, to giant redwood Farm Master, to tabletop redwood incubator, to tabletop Brinsea incubators, to plywood GQF cabinet, and now plastic/foam/plexi Brinsea cabinet.

All are very different from each other. I haven't run many eggs through the GQF and none through the Ova-Easy, but the thermal profiles are different enough that they will need to be treated differently.

I'd love to discuss with you on those, Walnut... and get your experiences as well... may need a separate thread for it though, cuz I wanna see pics of all of those if you have them, lol... :thumbsup

I do have pics of the ones I no longer have. And I forgot to mention my homebuilt cabinet, it has as good a thermal profile as the Brinsea, almost as good as the GQF. I agree another thread would be good. Maybe we should figure out a test profile, like using a piece of untreated 2 x 4 soaked to simulate an egg load, then exactly following manufacturer instructions for operation for at least 8 hours, recording temperature and humidity with calibrated devices.

My cabinet hatcher I got with my Leahy is actually a home built... ugly as sin, but keeps perfect temp and humidity without fail...
