Seven out of seventeen of my chickens have started to have diarrhea. The diarrhea is green and is most often followed by blood. One has died.

Only thing I can think of is that we fed them bad food by accident, but i am not sure. Can some one please tell me how to treat my chickens before I lose them all?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I know of two things that can cause green diarrhea, one is not eating/starving but I doubt all 7 would have that at once, the other is Fowl Cholera which kills QUICKLY but can be treated with antibiotics. I had a thread on Cholera with lots of links in it. Maybe do a google search, coz I don't have my lab report in front of me anymore.

Thanks! I did some research and found some symptoms, but the chickens do not have any outward signs of a sickness. Looking at them, you could hardly notice, and of coarse i feed them plenty!

Being my first time raising chickens, do you think seafood would be a cause?

Are they on a medicated chick starter? Coccidia could cause this and that's what the medication treats.

Seafood, unless it was spoiled, shouldn't make them sick.
