Chickens laying on sides with legs out

hi!
My 14 week old chickens are free during the day. I was visiting with them and they came to my but laid down sideways with their legs out. When I got close they got up acted normal. Are they ok?

If acting normal yes they are fine. Sometimes they do that just stretching or hot.

I've got 2 Silkies that like to lay like that when they get hot. First time I saw it I thought they had died. Just looked like a white puff on the ground.

My roosters do without doing sunbath like they want a stretch or want to be relaxed.

I totally get where you're coming from. The first time I seen my duck take a dust bath, I thought he was having a seizure

Yes, silly chickens!! They're ok..I remember thinking the first time I saw that behavior "oh great...." But they're just relaxing...hard work being a chicken apparently as they seem to take breaks and relax quite often!!
