Chickens LOVE WORMS so I thought anyway

...free range chickens will find and eat worms however, earthworms are a reservoir for parasites which in turn will give your birds worms (called HELMINTHS)... so it is a bad idea in the extreme to go and dig up worms to give your chickens... read about it here:
