My little sister had a mercury thermometer in our chicken coop. Apparently it fell from the shelf and it had broken on the floor. They might have gotten into it and we are worried they might have gotten it in their system. Should we be worried about the chickens? Should we stop eating the eggs? I know their isn't a ton of mercury in thermometers, but it is a weird situation

If they ate the mercury they will no doubt get sick and may even die - I wouldn't eat any eggs until I'm sure that they didn't eat any - we have limits on the amount of fish we can eat from certain lakes because of the mercury in them - it's bad stuff -
