You can also try wetting the pellets, enough so they start breaking down into smaller pieces, and see if they'll eat that. Smashing your way through an entire bag of feed won't be fun!

I would agree, wet the pellets and make mash out of the feed. My girls love wet feed.

I just finished the bag today. I had some i fermented and would mix pellets in and let them sit for about 30 minutes to soften before I gave it to them. Within 24 hours the green sludgy poop stopped and they all seemed to perk up!
