So I had one of my black coturnix hatch early this morning, otherwise running around, interacting w others, chirping away, but noticed her beak was twisted (like a grosbeak). Upon closer viewing...missing left eye, like born this way and it never formed, and beak twists same way.
So this babe has been active, grooming, trying to peck things...I know odds are against it, but should I isolate from general chick population, or see how it does? My concern is ability to drink water, pick up food...the missing eye does not concern me as much as the bill twisted. Any thoughts or experience?
