Hi guys, so I have 2 black silkies who seem not to be getting any bigger or laying. They are around 6 1/2-7 1/2 months old. They have feed, water, a clean, dry environment, and live a happy life. I don't know what to think. They're active and healthy, with no other symptoms. Is anything wrong? Thanks so much for any help!

Any pictures of them? how big are they? Silkies are smaller then a normal chicken and lay less eggs then a normal chicken. The winter is here and they will slow down or even stop laying due to the lack of light.

I can't give a pic now, its night time. Maybe tomorrow. I'm aware of Silkies size, but they don't seen to be developing properly.

I don't care about their size, but I'm worried if there're dud layers. They still have their baby peep!
I personally did not get silkies for there eggs. at least not to eat. I have read that sometimes roos develop slower than hen . Or at least in big breeds. I have never heard or a young pullet developing and never laying eggs. (I don't know everything). I do know that in our hen house which we don't runs lights. Our 26 hens were laying 20ish eggs a day a month ago and now we get 6. lots of molting and the shorter days do that.
