Chickens not laying enough eggs

We love in Salinas calif. There run space is 16' x 23' and the co-op size is 8'x8' with 16 next boxes. We feed them lay crumble , scratch, they get oyster, grit,and meal works very other day. No they do not free range.. No new birds introduced. We have had a lot of rain lately

Bad weather can implicate they were inside a lot and a 8x8’ coop gets easily overcrowded with such a variety of breeds. . Stress can be a factor.

Did you check on red mite? Its time to check every week as soon as the feezing stops. Red mite weakens chickens. They stop laying and are a danger for their health.

It sounds very cramped, and that can be a big stressor for chickens.
The maximum number of adult chickens that should be housed in that space is 16.
I would make only one (or none) of those a rooster.

If you go through your flock and pick only those birds you like best, and/or your youngest layers, I bet within a month you'll be getting more eggs than you got with them all cramped together.

A higher protein feed and less treats can help too.

On the flock block that have access all The time and scratch every other day. The the lay crumble I have only found 16 percent. How do I stop the roosters from eating the lay crumble when they are with the hens

You could switch to an all flock or flock raiser type feed, and supplement calcium on the side. The flock block and scratch are treats and shouldn't be more than 10% or so of their diet, otherwise you're throwing off their nutritional intake.

We cut back on the flock block and scratch.They have lay crumble all the time. They have lights on in the co-op from 5a.m. To 9pm. . Today a we only got 8 eggs out of 28 hens . What am I doing wrong that they are not laying eggs

The changes won't be effective immediately. Just give them a little more time.

Are any of the hens broody? (Sitting on the nest all day and all night, trying to hatch eggs.)

Some hens go broody in the spring, but hens do not lay eggs while they are broody.
