Chickens not laying in the roosts.

I have 4 hens. They do not lay there eggs in the roosts! they make nests and lay outside. I can never find them. I leave them in to about 11:00am but they still lay in nests. I do not know what to do!

Do you mean nest boxes? I would put wooden eggs in the nest boxes and keep them in for a few weeks until they get in the habit of using the nest boxes. The wooden eggs help them realize that that is the place to lay. They will get it.

If you have a craft store like Michael's or Hobby Lobby close by, they will have them. Your farm supply store might still have them.
