Mine are doing the same thing...or NOT doing ...
My flock consists of 7 adult hens and 7 assorted almost 6 month old pullets ( was 8 but I think one is a Roo ) ,
When the weather started getting super hot and humid ( south central Missouri) , I followed the feeding advice here and took them off the cracked corn/scratch grains and have been feeding them strictly layer pellets sometimes with kitchen scraps and they have several hours in the evening to free range in the yard.
Since then, egg production has dropped dramatically...I was lucky if I'd get 2 eggs a day...sometimes 3,,,more often just 1 ...and yesterday...no eggs at all. None of the hens are molting and the pullets just haven't decided to get on with the job yet.
I also purchased the Mister hose attachment and the birds enjoyed that.
Just few to no eggs....
