Chickens not laying

I have 5 chicken and only one is laying why is that

To try to help you need to give more information. How old are the chickens? Have they never laid eggs or have they stopped and never started back up again? What are you feeding? Do you free range?

While you answer her question, maybe you can assist me. I got 3 hens from an auction. When I got them, they all 3 laid eggs for about a week or so. Then I starting getting 1 or 2 or 3 now I am down to just 1 laying an egg a day. I don't know how old they are (so they could be past their egg laying days, but just incase they are not … I will still ask the question anyway)
