Chickens not laying.

My chickens have been supposed to been laying a while ago yet nothing! Im starting to lose hope. If you are wondering They are a production red and a easter egger or Ameraucana ( Stuck between them). I know they take a while to lay but even then i feel like they were supposed to be laying by now.

It might be because there is not enough light for them to produce eggs. My chickens aren't laying either

How old are they? What do they eat? Where are you located, is it still winter?

I'm in BC on the coast and mine aren't laying either, they've been wormed and coop cleaned checked for mites diet and water is all there but still nothing

Can you give more details on your flock? Age, food? it's also winter, shorter daylight hours.

8 2-3 year old Chantecler hens and a rooster, feed an 18% layer pellet from Shar Kare and it's mid March so would expect to get more than 1 egg a day by now

Do you have pictures? We’re they previous laying and then stopped and you expected them to be laying again? Or have they never laid?

OP where are you located roughly, and how old are the birds? Are they youngsters that haven't laid before, or older birds?

I still have a number of birds that haven't re-started laying yet, so since you're up futher from the equator in northern hemisphere, days are still on the short side and it may take longer for the flock to fully get in gear.

No pics but they were laying into late fall, then tapered off in winter just have not started up again yet, I'm right at the 50th parrallel on the coast
