Trouble is.... later the days will be getting shorter and shorter, so they will slack off again. I guess we just keep making excuses for them lol. Take what we can get I suppose. Maybe we all just need more hens!!!

Well I don't think that will help much since I have 25 that are laying age and only get 3 to 4 eggs a day. I wanted to be as organic as possable with them and did not feed them layer mash, but I was only getting 1 egg a day, if I was lucky. I have them now on layer mash and still very few eggs. I have 10 that I raised from day old that are now 28 weeks and have yet to give me an egg!!!
