I have two Barred Rocks that quit laying over the winter. I got them from someone when they were hens & don't quite know the age. One appeared to go through a mini-molt about a month ago. Every couple of days I'm getting a soft-shelled egg from one of them that pretty much breaks as soon as it is layed.
The other isn't laying at all.
I have an Easter egger & black production that are laying 5-6 a week each. They are getting the same feed and have same access to oyster shell. Any thoughts or advice? I'm in Louisiana, so a good bit of sunlight here.
