chickens on roosts?

I have integrated my chickens and the pullets aren't as familiar with the roost as the others so I have been putting them on there at night. My question is that the larger chickens roost on the bigger one and I put the pullets on the smaller one but there is not that much space for them. If I out them on the bigger on than it would work but I don't know if each set of chickens would like that. The one pullet that I put on the bigger one jumped off. ANY info would be good.

I usually let everyone decide where they want to be, including the pullets. Its saves 'hurt feelings' and retaliation...lol

I agree with Camelot Farms. Let the chickens decide among themselves. The older ones can be very territorial about the roosts. You could be encouraging disputes if you try to place them where you think they should go. They do like to crowd together on the roosts, but you might want to add more roost space if possible if they are tight.
