Oh so true. I was waking up like 5 times a night just too look out window to see if their light was on (meaning heat lamp). I live in New England and the nights have still been cool. I'm also finding they don't seem to like not having a light in the coop. One night I didn't get home till 9 after going to dinner and their lamp I left off cause it had been in the 60's during the day so it was still nice. By 9:00 pm when I got home it had cooled off alot. When I checked on them they were all huddled together even at 8 weeks. I figure more light then being cold. I also put a solar light that I just stick in ground during day then lay in the coop at night. They love it. They all sit around it. So I think I will continue with solar light during the summer.
