Chickens panting, wondering about tonight

yes, as others have said, panting is normal. I add extra waterers to both the pen and the coop during summer months. Cool, clean water is essential as we know. I worry about mine too, you are not alone. Thank goodness for this site.

Our coop is insulated and it stays cool, on hot days no one free ranges they just hang out in the coop, their chose they can go out but dont want to. And they do pant. When its really hot everyone has watermelon. Its like kids with ice cream, and it cools them down.
