Chickens roost under my rooster.

Hello, I have 1 rooster and 11 chickens and I have noticed that when it gets dark and they get inside the coop, I find 1 or 2 chickens roosting (under) my rooster, recently I saw one slip and fall from a high place (under the rooster) where they stay, and another one took its place and went under him. What could be the cause of this happening? Thanks.
